The 2018 Amazing Island Raise will match local teams of competitors in a race on South Bass Island (aka Put-in-Bay) on Saturday, June 9, challenging mainland racers to gather their friends and compete in this one of a kind Lake Erie Island event.
Teams of four to six adults will battle it out to see which team has what it takes to be the Amazing Raise champion. Teams will ride the Miller Ferry to Put-in- Bay on South Bass Island, where the clues and challenges will take place. Once the winner has been declared, the teams can remain on the Island to enjoy the rest of the day and return on the ferry when they are ready.
Entry Fees
The entry fee of $40 per person will cover the cost of round trip transportation to the island on the Miller Ferry Line, as well as a team t-shirt and food and refreshments at the finale location. The fun will begin when teams gather at 11AM at the Catawba Island docks of the Miller Ferry, which will head to the islands at 12PM. Ferry schedules may vary, so check before arrival.
Competitors must be at least 18 years of age in order to compete. Each team must bring at least one digital camera or smart phone, and wear tennis shoes. Teams will be provided with “The Amazing Raise” team t-shirts, drawstring backpacks and food after the event.
Teams must start planning now, with a registration deadline of May 25, 2018. For more information, contact joyfulconnections.com or visit ottawacountyjuvenilecourt.com/casa.htm. The first 30 teams to submit their registration will be accepted, so don’t delay in entering this fun competition.
Amazing Raise Benefits
The event will benefit Joyful Connections and CASA, two great child-focused agencies in Ottawa County that advocate for children, providing safe and home-like environments and advocating for children in the juvenile courts.
