B1G Game Weekend At the Bay Added to Fall Events
There may be no live Big Ten football this fall, but you can still enjoy the Ohio State/Michigan rivalry in a new way and in a fun place!
The businesses at Put-in-Bay, Ohio are teaming together to give you the experience of the Ohio State/Michigan game as they host B1G Game Weekend at the Bay on Saturday, September 12, 2020. The establishments will decorate as if it were the actual game day and welcome guests to come dressed in their team colors. Classic games will play on screens while the sound of marching band music and the aroma of tailgate food will fill the air.
So, even though we have to wait for the Big Game to be played live, that doesn’t mean we can’t celebrate our teams and our fall traditions. Get your jersey ready and put on your game face. It’s the biggest day in college football. And, it’s on an island! After all, when life gives you lemons, have an imaginary Ohio State/Michigan game!
All social distancing requirements of the State of Ohio will be followed to provide for a safe environment for this fun event.

Bronco Event Still On
Bronco’s On The Bay is one island event that is still on and scheduled for Friday, Saturday and Sunday, September 18th through 20th. The event started last year and included a lunch, show & shine, awards, a parade around the island and some great food and entertainment at local bars and restaurants. 2020 is going to be bigger and better!
Registration is $15 per person and includes a T-shirt.
Organizers are hoping to load as many Bronco’s as possible on one of the Friday ferries for a group picture.
Bronco Ferry – you will need to get a round trip ticket with two people $68 . You will see signs stating that it’s a two day minimum, it’s not an issue if you only stay the day.
Friday will be a day for those arriving early to get settled, enjoy the island and take part in a meet and greet. Saturday there will be raffles, a parade of Broncos and a pig roast after the parade.
The gatherings, raffles and pig roast will be at the show field across from the Keys and Dairy Isle. The Bronco parade will take place in the early afternoon. There will also be a Blessing of the Broncos. After the pig roast there will be trophy presentations, and the Big Raffle Drawing. On Sunday morning, there will be a group photo at Perry Monument.
Raffle prizes include Bronco X-ing signs, custom Bronco tables, Yeti coolers, a neon Bronco sign and more. Ticket sales and 50/50 drawings will benefit three charities this year: Put In Bay Volunteer Fire Department, the Put-in-Bay Food Pantry and the Put-in-Bay School District College Scholarship Fund.
