The United States Post Office at Put-in-Bay is the lifeline to the mainland for nearly 500 full-time residents. Mail is retrieved by residents here via Post Office boxes because there are no mailboxes on the island. Considering the island is only 4 miles long, it's a quick golf cart ride for most residents.

Finding the Put-in-Bay Post Office is relatively easy. Located on Langram Road, in between the gas station and the hardware store all your parcel desires await your arrival. You can easily access the popular downtown Put-in-Bay strip in less than a mile as well.
Throughout the year, even on the off-season the island's mail makes its way to this centralized hub. When the island is accessible by water, the mail arrives via ferry. With that said, during winter months the ferry services stop operation due to icing conditions. The show must go on, so the mail finds a different way onto the island, by plane! One way or another, the mail arrives daily by either boat or plane. Then, it is transported to the Post Office for sorting and distribution.
