As Ohio State’s island campus on Lake Erie, Stone Laboratory offers a powerful combination of science, education, and research. Stone Laboratory has been a freshwater field station since 1895 and part of The Ohio State University since 1925. Experience hands-on science activities, observe live Lake Erie fish species, discover current research, and see original equipment from when the building used to be the main fish hatchery of South Bass Islands.
