Great place to stay!

"This property was an AWESOME place to stay, for our 9 person Bachelorette party! Super spacious and an ideal location on the island! We had easy access to downtown, with the use of taxis that picked us up from the property itself. Very fairly priced for a stay. Highly recommend!"

"It was what we expected. It is by no means a 5-Star Resort, but for a decent place to stay at Put-in-Bay it was good. We really had no issues at all. I would suggest this place to anyone. Only downside was it is a little far from downtown, but taxi buses everywhere, we never had to wait for a ride. "

"This was a perfect little rental for a group of six ladies. We didn't spend much time inside the property, but it had a nice gathering spot and good sized kitchen. The place is missing towel racks and toilet paper holders, which was a little strange, but our stay was quite pleasant and acceptable. "

"There was a few issues upon arrival (missing light bulbs, torn couch pillow) but they fixed these within 20 minutes of our arrival. I had also forgotten to bring towels for showering, and they kindly lent us them to use for our stay. The tire on our golf cart blew out as well, and the next morning they were there to fix it when I called. Overall a great stay, I think I will always stay at Island Club while visiting South Bass Island!!"

"I don't think the kitchen or bathroom floors have ever been washed, and possibly not the carpets either. The kitchen barely had the basic pots and pans, no large bowl to speak of, cork screw was broken, etc. and two burners on the gas grill would not light. For a house that supposedly sleeps 10, there wasn't adequate kitchen ware, size-wise to handle that many people. With only four chairs for the kitchen table there weren't enough seats for everyone ( one kitchen chair had a broken leg). Also, the house has no dishwasher (tough with 7 people staying there!). and no WiFi. On a positive note, when we called the property manager about the grill and pan situation, they immediately responded with a maintenance person the fix the grill and bring a box of brand new pots. Plus, when we asked to get in the house a bit earlier than the check-in, the property manager tried to help us. Our experience with the property manager was very positive. The location of the development and the grounds were very nice - convenient and nice pool. Overall the house felt very much like it is geared toward the college crowd, versus for families. "

"Great experience, Island Club was a great place to stay, cabin was very nice, very laid back atmosphere, everyone was there to have a good time, the Taxi service was very convenient and the drivers were all fun, mobile check-in/check-out was very easy. "Happy to come, but more happy to leave. The unit was surprisingly large inside . Great location to everything. Pool looked inviting. Hate that we didn't get a chance to swim, but after what happened first night, all of us were ready to leave. OMG... that being said the property manager was accommodating and rectified the problem so we could leave with a palatable outcome. "

"Overall, the Island Club is always a great place to stay. Summer weekends are loaded with people who come to party. This is not a place for kids on the weekend since the homes are pretty close together.

The homes are nice, but are not horribly modern. This is not a problem for me because most people are not up there for the decor on a weekend.

The houses are close enough together to create a great atmoshpere. Most people will mingle amoungst themselves to help create this atmosphere which is unmatched anywhere else I have stayed.

The unit has a very nice kitchen and enough beds and couches to sleep 10 people without having to worry about doubling up.

Outside there is a deck on the back with a picnic table and grill with utensils.

The home includes two showers and a large 2-person tub.

The GM was awesome to talk to and really wanted to ensure we had everything we needed and had a good time"

"We've done other places and Island Club is the best. The only problem we had is that we couldn't get a cab in the morning to catch the ferry at 7:30. All the numbers on the cab cards weren't answering their phones."

"we had a blast! not enough time on the island would have liked to book it longer than just 2 nights. home was clean just a couple kinks like holes in the wall in closet and a hole in wall in hallway. kitcken drawer was broke/breaking and the paneling was coming apart from the wall in one of the bathroom. we put it back on though was driving me nuts seeing it lol. the only major kink was the cart rental. rented a 6 person cart was delivered an 8 normally i'd be happy except the tail light was out and the turn sigal switch was broken and literily dangling from the stearing wheel. we got another cart however we had like 9 people and my sis ended up renting a cart herself because we could only get a 6 person cart cause by the time it was resolved or would be we needed another cart. unless we wanted to sit at the house most of the vacation waiting for another one. other than that it was awesome we even got to stay later than origonal check out. thank you dotty!!! she's awesome. next time we go though. i hope cart situation is better. need to figure out the double booking issue. "

"We had a great 2 night stay. Cabin was clean, but bathrooms were old and dingy - need some sprucing up. Night time bugs - ugh!! i know there isn't much to do about them, but each time you opened the door they would swarm in towards the light. Wi-fi was non existent - no one was able to get access even after speaking with the office. Pool was great! And one room had 2 queens - would like to queens in separate rooms, so adults could separate! "

"My friends and I had a great time staying here, but nobody was on the same page at this company. We got a special that included a free four person golf cart and then asked to purchase an additional 6 person cart. when we arrived there was 1 6 person cart there. I asked where the 4 was and she said she charged us the difference for the 6 so that we didn't have to pay the full price and have 2 golf carts. This was not what I asked for and although they tracked us down a 4 person cart it was an extra $100 on the first day that we hadn't accounted for. "

"House was very clean, loved being at the end of a cul de sac, perfect amount of beds, lots of space and room. Have stayed here before and would stay again!!"

"I thouroughly enjoyed my stay. I purchased this rental through a groupon rate. If I had paid the regular rate, I would have been dissatisfied with the condition of the home. The drapes, bedding and fixtures are a few decades out of date. Also the couches had a smell of a home with cats. I paid 378 with a golf cart for very spacious accomodations for two nights so I have no complaints with my stay. I would like to stay again but I would not stay at the standard rate without some serious updating. The exterior property was well maintained and the location was great. The bathrooms are in need of immediate attention. I appreciated the swift service of a maintenance person, I can not remember his name. It does seem that the management office is disorganized from my experience, mainly poor communication but the maintenance man solved these problems quickly and in a way that put my girlfreind at ease. He was in his early twenties and had a thick accent, about 6 foot two. I would stay at the regular rate if if this was a fishing destination where I would travel with four or five men. As far as a vacation destination such as Put-in-Bay, in which I would travel with my girlfreind, the house was in bad shape. The condition makes women uncomfortable."

"My soccer team and I have come to PIB for the PIB Cup six years in a row, and each year we stay at the Island Club. It's nothing fancy, but it's clean, nicely equipped, well run, and suits our needs perfectly. We'll continue to stay here as long as we come to the Island.

Two notes. First, this place is completely different on Saturday than it is on Sunday. Sunday is quiet and calm and when the families come. Saturday is a loud, giant frat party. I wouldn't let my kids (if I had any) anywhere near the pool on a Saturday, and I'd be annoyed if I didn't know this ahead of time. I come with adults so it matters less, but I still would like a greater management presence at the pool on Saturday. Each year it seems there is at least one drunk jerk whose behavior should get him kicked out of the pool, if there were anyone with the authority to do so.

Second note, in setting the capacity for each house, the Island Club counts two adults in a full bed. It can be done, but it's cozier than I generally like to be with my friends."
