It was an eventful day for The Put-in-Bay Chamber of Commerce Media Day on May 12th, 2021. In total, over 30 media members from outlets all over Ohio visited the island to witness the Chamber's new brand launch presentation at the Boardwalk Upper Deck. Ferry transportation to the island was provided by Miller Boat Line. Once the visitors arrived to the island they were treated to a ride by Peter Huston on Island Transportation's Tour Train and a few rode in Paul Jeris' convertible Cadillacs. After a quick photo-op at the Monument they were dropped off at the Boardwalk for the presentation. New Chamber Director Wendy Chambers, Julene Market, Brad Ohlemacher gave a few remarks to the crowd about all the hard work that went into the new branding, and of course everyone got to enjoy a cup of lobster bisque. Doug Merritt, from the Flourish Agency, presented the new logo for Put-in-Bay and unveiled the messaging campaign that will run all through the 2021 season. After the presentation, Peter picked the media members up for a quick stop at Perry's Cave, where a few were able to venture down into the cave. The last stop on the agenda was at the Jet Express, who provided the ferry transportation off the island. Ken's Taxi, of Port Clinton, was there to get everyone back to their vehicles at the Miller Catawba dock. Special "thank yous" go out to all the businesses who donated their time, services and costs to make this event such a success. Check the Chamber Facebook to see all the great articles and news stories that came from the media partners.Lodging Tax Notice
